Tori-Ann is an educator, artist and activist who believes that the psycho-social needs of gifted learners are just as important as the academic. She strives to provide educators with professional development and coaching around proven strategies and pedagogy to impact students’ social and emotional well-being. Working collaboratively with STEAM professionals and organizations, she designs curriculum that allows students to practice empathy,  failing forward, and building self-efficacy.

In her 15 years of teaching, she has experienced an array of learning environments, working primarily with students in low-income, Title I schools in the Miami and Los Angeles areas.  She also has a background in working with English Language Learners from various socioeconomic communities.

Overall, Tori-Ann enjoys watching “the lightbulb turn on” for her students. She understands that she won’t always get to witness that moment and is truly grateful when she does.
